Isle of White Vegan Festival

The festival promises children’s entertainment.

Children’s activities will run throughout the day.  The festivals generally include activities such as: decorate a cookie, make an animal mask, puzzles, board games and jigsaws, face painting, a ball pit, and puzzles for younger children.  The Scottish Vegan Festival will also include ‘slime making workshops’, and the events in November and December will feature Christmas card making.

Yogific

The festivals each have a ‘Lil Yogi’ room with classes for children, as well as: dance workshops, face painting and henna.  The Liverpool festival will include a class for children who have learning difficulties, followed by a talk for the adults about the benefits of yoga for their children.

Vegan Vybes are currently hoping to attract children’s workshops to their regular markets.

Maidstone Vegan Festival

The ‘Children’s Zones’ will have: a teddy bear corner with story books, face painting, games, crafts and hula hooping.  There will be space for children both indoors and outdoors on the lawn.

The camp takes place in a different venue each year, with activities provided by the attendees. The camp site this year has: a wooden playground, games room, arcade games, and a pool table.

Viva Vegan Festivals

The festivals usually have a kid’s craft gazebo with demonstrations of how to make a variety of fun things from upcycled materials. The Coventry festival will also have a bouncy castle.

There are kid’s areas at all events, with the next festival to place in London.  In the recent Bristol festival, kid’s entertainer ‘Captain James Tea Cook- Pirate of the Carob Bean’ hosted a series of dynamic cookery classes.

It isn’t mentioned on the website, but previously the Christmas Fayre in London had a children’s crafts room.

Kent Vegan Festival

In 2018, the Kent Vegan Festival had a children’s area on a grassy lawn with a tipi.  There were a variety of activities, including: face painting, nature crafts and recycling crafts.  There was also a story-telling session, children’s comedy show, and hula hoop workshop.

Kent Vegan Festival

Calling all children, young people and families… Not only do you get in for free if you are under 11, we just have so much stuff going on for you this year 🙂 We have an amazing Children’s Area (in a lovely green area, with plenty of shade and a tipi). Plus a separate Teen Zone (sponsored by the Vegan Society)! In the Children’s Area (outside in green space in the centre of the venue): All day activities: Children’s Activity Tent with Animal Aid. Activities with First-hand Experiences. Save the Animals, Face Painting, Nature Craft, Recycling Craft (all in the tipi). Timetabled Activities: 11am – Story-telling with (Victoria Cork-Black) in the tipi. 12noon – Bitesize Viva Las Vegans – Comedy show (and open mic) for kids! (with Matt Hoss) in the tipi. 2pm – Hula Hoop workshop (with Amy-Jayne Lambert) near the tipi.
